ive red the manual but cant figure it i have a phone and i hav a wireless connection

You can't use the phone line.
If you want to use the Wireless connection, you need the wireless adapter from Microsoft for the 360.
However, if you are able to run a cable to your WLAN router, you can instantly plug in and start Xbox Live.

You cant connect if your internet requires a phone line. If your router or modem is ethernet, plug one end of the system link cable that came with your 360 into it, and the other into your 360. Go into network settings and put everything on automatic unless you know what the settings should be. Then, make yourself a xbox live account. Whenever you make one, its free gold for 1 month, then it returns to the free silver. In order to play multiplayer online you must have gold, which costs 50 dollars for a year, which is a good deal. Silver accounts can buy xbox 360 arcade games, chat with friends, send messages, and download content. They cannot play multiplayer with other people, which is why its so worth the 50 dollars. You can not use your dail up services for this you must have broadband (ethernet its like a phone line jsut wider) to support all the high end **** that comes with a 360 if u dont have it then u need to look in to it dail up is out of date and everything is going to upload so u can stream with almost any broad band and whatch and listen to any thing off of that you will also need to get an xbox live account to get on just go to the xbox 360 home page or microsoft and look into it microsoft.com and browse around to find game games pcoming 360 something like that im sure they will supply more suffecient information for you! peace out maybe a router? do u have one of those i think that if u do the 360 will pick up that feed dont know i dont have one sadly
