Yes..your breasts are starting to get ready for the production of milk (milk ducts)....this is quite normal...If you are concerned have your Dr. take a look at your next visit..Good Luck!

To help reduce the pain put warm wash clothes on them or take a hot shower (the water hitting your boobs might hurt some though). The heat will reduce the pain alot. A heating pad works also.
I had the same issues when I was pregnant & this is the only thing that seemed to help. When my back started hurting later in the pregnancy I used a bean bag thingy heating pad that I could microwave & it helped my back.

My breasts got much fuller right away around 3-4 weeks. They got tender and started to hurt later on in my pregnancy, probably around 7-8weeks! Different for everyone!

Advice from my mother, which really helped:
Your breasts are getting ready to produce milk. Try massaging them (or have your husband/partner do it if they're gentle enough for you). As far as nipples hurting...well, her advice was to have your husband/partner...um...well, be VERY gentle to you there, but to pay attention to them too. (I'm sure you're catching my drift here) This will help to numb the pain if your child doesn't take to latching on immediately (if you're Breastfeeding, which I would suggest)

I didnt have much to start with and when I became prego they started swelling and it felt like I had lumps all in my breasts..and my nipples did look like they had bumps all over them. Doc said they were normal and right on track..wish you luck!

I AM WELL ENDOWED, AND WHEN I FIRST BECAME PREGNANT I ACTUALLY HAD TO HOLD MY ARMS OVER MY CHEST WHEN WALKING DOWN STAIRS, BECAUSE THEY HURT SO MUCH WHEN THEY JIGGLED AROUND...IT EVENTUALLY WENT AWAY...BUT NOW I AM STARTING TO GET MY MILK SUPPLY IN AND THEY ARE BEGINNING TO HURT AGAIN...GOOD LUCK TO YOU.
