most of these people are stupid.

best way to learn to drift is to first learn to drive the car properly on a racetrack, then adapt your skills to drifitng. the BMWCCA has tons of instructed track events which will teach you how to drive far better than you could just teaching yourself.

Youll learn car control techniques that you just cant very easily on your own. They can then be adapted into drifting rather easily.

www.driftsessions.com (follow links to "techniques" section)

www.d1nz.com (follow links to drifting practice techniques and articles)

There are actually many ways and techniques to drift a car and these two websites offer both a list of techiques, practice tips and almost step-by-step instructions on how to drift a car. I'm sure there are many more websites that offer this kind of info, but these are the two that I could remember.

Kyle M, has is spot on! First learn how to properly drive the car, learn to feel what the car is doing, learn the proper car control techniques, practice and then move on to drifting. BMWCCA, PCA, Audi Club, etc. can all educate you on how to properly drive a car. Be safe, have fun and good luck!

wow airickq7 is a retard. Seriously ignorant. If you start out drifting more than likely its in a parking lot and not on a mountain road. Start with a manual transmission rwd car with decent power. 240sx, 2nd gen rx7 turbo, mk2 supra... Start by practicing getting the car to slide out a bit but dont spin out. Set up some cones and try to make a nice arc to drift around then as you get better and your car gets upgraded start doing more technical turns or go to a track and try it.You'll learn techniques like clutch kicking or faints as you practice.

pulling your hand brake at the exact right time and turning your wheel the right way, sometimes it has to go opposite in the direction you want to drift.

if you do anything wrong, you could die, so i suggest not drifting.
