it's amazing, i was a hiv prevention instructor for the red cross and i've taught pre-ged classes, but since i moved to de, i can't find any single charity that wants volunteers, so i've been doanting blood, etc etc instead. i actively went through the phone book and called every charity listed, and even asked them for a referal.

no, I don't like that stuff.. because it is only given to a 'certain type' of people, it is not fair.
however I support animal shelters, spay and neuter programs. and a few others.
