I think you're totally off your rocker. The saying doesn't literally mean someone pokes your eye out, you get to poke theirs out, and you both go on living blind in one eye. An eye for an eye is a metaphor for revenge, and it's especially suited to point out the fundamental flaw in YOUR particular mindset. Revenge, by nature, means getting payback, and then some. It's that "and then some" part that is the core idea in the metaphor. The escalating brutality, or the urge to 1-up the person you're getting back, will eventually spiral out of control and wipe out everybody. So if someone pokes out your eye, you're gonna cut his head off. And then what? That's the end? No. Someone will want to get you back for cutting off that person's head. And they will want to get you back HARD. That will continue back and forth, getting more and more brutal, until everyone ends up dead. This finality of everyone ending up dead is represented in the metaphor by "the whole world blind." An act of revenge does not terminate a conflict, conversely it will continue to instigate ever-increasing revenge, propagating through interpersonal connections and eventually consuming the populus. The metaphor is made to imply that reciprocal violence as a means of justice is fundamentally catastrophic. Your "take my eye and i kill you and your whole family" idea is exactly the type of revenge the metaphor is addressing, only greatly amplified. An act against one person is answered by an act against three. The victims increases over each back-and-forth round of revenge. Your conclusion of "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind thus we decapitate our enemy's" sounds stupid, frankly. It's a totally obnoxious, redundant conclusion from a mind that misunderstood the principle idea. You take an anti-violence metaphor, twist it around, and ultimately make it self-contradictory. It's borderline lunacy. Once again, someone interprets a metaphor LITERALLY, and forms an entirely inappropriate, brutally violent conclusive course of action from it. Don't EVER take proverbs and metaphors LITERALLY. It's meant to illustrate a point or idea, and it shouldn't be taken at face value. This is twisted, radical thinking. This is the root of extremism, and extremism is the root of terrorism. I understand you missed the point of the initial metaphor. But regardless, you're sounding pretty nuts here, dude. Admittedly, it's a little bit scary.

I don't think that we can take responsibility for the actions of others but only ourselves. We must do what we believe is right for ourselves & do our part in bettering the lives of people around us thru volunteering; e.g. food kitchens, driving people to appts, saving animals, whatever. And if we have children we should do our best to instil in them good values & hope that they will live by them when they become adults.
The media has done much to destroy morality in this country. Children know way too much & believe that what they see on tv & in the movies is normal & acceptable behavior. Its scary.

this lady was getting chased into an alley. she was screaming for help. And around that alley was a bunch of apartments. People could hear her screaming. Even as she was getting raped she was screaming. Nobody called 911 even though they could hear her getting raped and screaming for help. After that she was killed. Why didnt the apartment residents call 911? Well they thought that with so many people around the alley, alot of other people could hear her screaming for help too. Everyone thought that some other person would call 911 for help. But no one did. Everyone reported hearing calls for help. still nobody called.. the rapist got away free....
