Depression, oppression, grief due to lost of their homes, their crops, lost of love ones, or become the victims or witnesses of tyrant, tortures done by enemy to themselves or their families.
Which makes life is emotionally painful, worthless, and could not bear anymore made someone feel to die is better than to live.

And all that, would not surprise me if a lot of Palestinians and other nations commit suide or suicide attacks.

It is not a matter of the government "forcing" the person. Most states have statutes (the Baker Act) in Florida which allows for involuntary examination (what some call emergency or involuntary commitment). It can be initiated by judges, law enforcement officials, physicians or mental health professionals. There must be evidence that the person has a mental illness and: 1. is a harm to self, harm to others, or self neglectful 2. Examinations may last up to 72 hours .

its not that they want too. they see it as a last resort because living for them is so unimaginably painful. for people in a suicidal state they are incredibly depressed. they see no way out of their situation. when someone is sad all the time and it never seems to go away, the only option they may feel is to end their life. for them they believe that they will never be happy and they will always be depressed and not good enough and all those negative thoughts.

Suicide is usually a result of hopelessness.

Sometimes people feel they just can't stand whatever pain they are in and are looking for a final way to make it stop!

And sometimes they are hoping that they will find a better existance in whatever does come after this life.

Terribly sad!

Many reasons. Depression, psychological, attention, grief. People often find themselves in a situation where they believe the only escape from their emotional/physical pain or grief is suicide. They think "Anything is better than the Hell I'm going through right now".

Depression can do it. There are many types of depression and they are usually the cause. Then there are those situations where shame or guilt drives people to it. It is the worse kind of death for loved ones to experience, it leaves them with so many questions, often a lot of guilt, shame and so many more things. It destroys those left behind and often they had nothing to do with the reason.

Sometimes you're just unable to handle extreme stress, grief, etc and it seems like the only real option. Imagine if you are a man, married, 3 kids... get into a car wreck and end up killing your wife and children... It would definitely cross your mind.

Okay, I'll share this with you because it may stop someone out there who thinks that there's no way out.

I considered it. I mean, SERIOUSLY considered it.

I had (obviously) significant clinical depression, and I was concerned that if I got help, it would kill my career.

It wasn't that I wanted to die, it's that I wanted to not hurt anymore. Every day just hurt, and I saw no way out, I didn't feel like I could tell anyone, and I just wanted the pain to stop.

Finally I realized something had to give and I told. I'm on Zoloft now, and things are much much better.

See, you probably think that suicide is about one stupid thing. "She broke up with me" or "I got held back in school" or "I'm pregnant."

That's not it, in my opinion. What it's about is someone who has SUCH low reserves of ability to deal with life's drama...that one thing is enough to put them over the edge.

Anyone who feels like they may want to do this, talk to someone. Please. There is help out there.

a brain is not a pre-structured, pre-programmed thing...

it starts out not by being intelligent, but by having potential to be intelligent... (not intelligent as in IQ-intelligent, but intelligent as in human intelligent or dolphin intelligent..)

A brain is born with the capabilities to be programmed...

and it is programmed by what the brain sees + hears + understands...
all of which is contributed to by its culture and its environment...

just because your not exposed to this kind of culture and thought-process.. doesnt mean its some "Mental Disorder"...

PS:
Honestly, the fact that you called a person "it" makes me think that you, yourself, dont have much regard for the human life.

that or your an illegal immigrant that cant speak english.

That's just what former Philadelphia Eagle Andre Waters did recently.

Apparently, he had too many concussions and hard hits in his career and it causes a degenerative brain condition (don't know the name) that leads to suicide.
