X-rated movies for children? Umm... no. Just... no.
Anyway, as for R-rated movies, I watched several when I was a child. I guess it depends on the kid. Some children... okay, most children... like to emulate things they see on TV. I'm not talking about getting a gun and shooting people - if they have good parents they know not to do that...
But then again I still can't forget having to go to the hopital when I was six because my seven year old cousin decided that a "DDT" was a cool wrestling move to try out on me. Just because he saw it either on a movie or on TV.

not exactly sure but i'm thinking because they don't want kids going around swearing and copying the movie

Do you have kids??? i don't want my 5 year old hearing inappropriate things on TV or movies....she repeats everything she hears now
