Heres some really mild bands you might like - Machine Head, Down (phil Anselmo's other band), Sevendust, Iced Earth, Godsmack, Tool, Slayer, Mudvayne, Taproot, Black Label Society.
And through in some old school hardcore punk like Black flag, Minor Threat, The Misfits and Bad Religion,
