Solve the Q-variable.

1/3 * Q = 10

First: place Q over 1 to make a fraction.

(1*Q)/(3*1) = 10

Q/3 = 10

SEc: eliminate the fraction - multiply the denominator with each term.

(3)(Q/3) = (3)(10)

*Cross cancel "like" terms & combine the remaining terms.

Q = (3)(10)

Q = 30

Q=30. you multiply each side by 3(which is the opposite of 1/3, so the 1/3 and the 3 cancel out)and you are left with Q=30.
