there's always an "in crowd" at work (it's just like high school). find out who the leader of the pack is...most likely they hold a lot of power in influencing others, esp. key decision makers. once you put the bug in their ear about someone that's not performing or is not a "good corporate fit", it will get back to the decision-maker. when the time comes to cut dead wait, the person you want gone will be in their mind...you have to work at it though. you need to continually find "proof" and concrete evidence of poor performance and keep feeding it to the leader so that they will in turn tell the decision makers. cruel games, n'est-ce pas?

Everybody deserves to make a living. If this person a liability he/she will be sniffed out without your help. Plus if you do engage yourself your fingerprints will be visible. People don't forget things like that. It could come back to haunt. Especially your coworkers.
Don't let your ego get caught up, you'll smell like rotten eggs even if you are right.
This guy must be awful for you to want to take the food off his table and out of his childrens mouth. Even so it's best to err on the side of your fellow workers than it is to be a traitor.

A company must have a legitimate, verifiable reason to terminate an employee. This can be done based on attendance problems, drug use, sexual harassment or work place violence. If you have been faulted by this person, and they deserve to be fired, you can go to your Human Resources department and file a complaint against them.
