I was just wondering if when i sign on Yahoo! Messenger on my cell phone (i have Verizon) that uses minutes? Even if when you're not actually texting someone and you're not using your phone, cuz i know even then you're actually connected to Messenger and are able to receive messeges from pople that sign on. Another thing, is every text you send via yahoo messenger going to count as a regular text message that you would send with your phone? Thanks.

I understand that the Mobile IM interface is a prettier way of accessing your IM account w/o having to remember txt codes. Every send/receive action costs one txt msg, depending on your accounting (part of a package or on a per message basis). The only time you incur airtime is when you download the Mobile IM SW app for the first time.

Every "instant message" on Yahoo Messanger is equal to a "text message" on your cell phone. Hope that helps! (You might also have to pay for your phone to connect to the internet too! *~* If I have the Best Answer, can you please click that I do?*~*
