Is so much scrutiny of private life of poor Anna Nicola Smith required? How relevant is marriage relation between Clintons relevant to her ability as a leader?......... I am on business here and have only stayed in hotels in USA. My opinions are influenced by television. I wish media let the 4 month old kid live peacefully.

I agree with your perspective. Its sad to see journalists and others criticizing every move Anna Nicole Smith made. These people act like they have never done something out of bad judgment. I don't see how someone's marriage could affect their job. Both the Clintons seem like decent minded people and aren't going to make the mistake of jeopardizing each others careers. I wish they would get over the fact that Bill cheated - its old news.

I cannot say that any news channels really reflect the "normal" American. I cannot say that I think the normal American is aggressive and hateful. News has always given negativity the spotlight and that is sad.

In other thoughts, welcome to the US! I'm glad that you are able to visit and see other cultures. I promise, there is some good left in America. :) Have a safe flight home.

I hope not. That is the job of Congress. Of course, Congress ceased performing its Constitutional duties decades ago. So, I guess we are in a pickle.

The outrage should be that while our wounded soldiers are being neglected, abused, and abandoned by We The People (or, as some of you know it, the government) the news networks do little except pump themselves over Anna Nicole Smith (a talentless non-entity, may she rest in peace or at least with a nice buzz) and Brittany Spears (a talentless non-entity who has yet to totally do herself in, but stay tuned).

The lesson? Abandon television as a source of news. They don't do news. It is that simple, and since it is by now an old complaint, any expectation for the situation to change would be like...whistling your way through a burning building.

the media only cares about news stories that capture our attention the fastest. they don't care about real news, and half of the "new" scientific results aren't new at all - it's stuff actual scientists have known for years. like global warming - scientists knew about that stuff wayyyyy before the media caught wind.

The Media is in it for the money, pure and simple. They over-dramatize everything.
