i've been working at a very easy sewing job for he past year, longer than any job i've had so far (and im already 29!). usually i get very dissatisfied and leave every job. i like this one ok, but it has little to do with my masters degree in art and i am bored, not learning anything new. basically i have stayed because its easy and i don't hate it. but someone offered me a very interesting job on a project-to-project basis building sets for museums etc., which is more related to sculpture (i'm a working artist), pays 2$ more per hour, and on which job i will learn lots of skills and get good experience. but i'm scared to take this freelance, unsteady work- which will probably also be really difficult work- and gve up my easy, steady income. i can't decide what to do! help! i'm also scared that even though they really want me, what if i'm not good enough, or not as qualified as they think i am?

I'd go for the new one! If you are in a dead-end job, you will soon be bored and want to quit anyway. I can relate in that I get bored easily and want to move on! It sounds like this new one would challenge you more and give you a creative outlet. You are still young - and why would you want to settle for a boring job?

I took a risk and went for something completely new a few years ago, giving up the security of a steady paycheck, and I've never regretted it. It may seem difficult at first, but the rewards are endless. You must certainly have the talent if it was offered to you, so don't worry about that. We all doubt ourselves sometimes - that is normal.

Even if you decide to leave the new one eventually, you will have a lot of great experience. I say - give it a shot!

I'd keep the current job.

If the other one has such a hectic schedule, if they want you badly enough, they'll work around your job, and understand since they can't offer you what you need financially.
