i'm running windows xp i could get online like yahoo,myspace etc. but when i try to open a link within yahoo or myspace it tell me internet explorer has encounted a problem or this page can not be displayed help i have tried everything even redownloading explorer 7 again doesn't work i have done everything i have only had this laptop for 1 month i have a compaq presario v6000 help

if you're on a wireless connection, you might want to make sure you have a good connection. Also...download http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ and use it instead of Internet Explorer...it's faster and safer. If you already tried reinstalling IE 7.0, I think it's probably a connection problem.

check your internet connection
check the Ethernet Cable
you know, the yellow looking cable that looks like a phone line but wider at the connection tip
aka RJ-45
check if you have any virus protection that may be preventing outbound communication
do you have a modem that is not turned on??

Have you went to tools to make sure you are not on work offline? MSM and Yahoo messenger will work even with work offline checked.

its not a problem with ur ie. check ur internet connection settings or contact ur ISP
