Those ovulation predictors and basal body temps are all fine and dandy, but as far as practical advice...there's always room for more sex, always and often. I hear that the most "fertile" time during ovulation is in the morning...(might be an old wives tale) even if it just means that he is more ready to go. lol. and deep penetrating positions are best because it gives a little boost for the little guys as far as a starting point. After sex, take your time in getting up, there is an evolutionary reason that sex tires you out...because for reproduction it is found that if you lie down and relax there is more success in furthering your bloodline. Good luck!! And enjoy it! That much sex for such a joyous result should be anything but stressful...even though I totlly understand why it can be!

When my husband and I were trying to get pregnant this time (currently 28 weeks along) we had sex everynight and sometimes during the day. It was done mostly at night because it's best if you stay lying down for a while afterwards because some women will actually drip the sperm with their own lubrication. I got off birthcontrol during a period and had a blood test to check for pregnancy about a week or so before my period was even due and it came back positive. As far as that person that mentioned blowing the sperm in your vagina, that is actually not recommended. Blowing air in there can actually be bad for you and not just when it deals with getting pregnant.

Adopt. Think of all the people out there that could be amazing or could be horrible depending on whether or not they have someone to love them. My boyfriend and his (non biological) brother are examples of this. They are wonderful. So are several adopted friends I have met over the years. And I have grown up with adopted children (my parents' friends adopted Korean children...and they grew up to be wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, sensitive contributors to society...privleged but grateful and grounded).
I don't care about carrying on some kind of bloodline, because my beloved mother is dead, my older brother already carried on the genes (that whole ideal is highly overrated and very animalistic for a people that considers themselves above primal instincts) and even then she would have loved whatever I chose to love. Love is love and has nothing to do with genes. It has nothing to do with physical appearance (if it is real love).
Once you adopt, your baby would be the same vulnerable creature that could have come from your womb...no difference. Only a living, breathing creature that needs to be taken care of and guided. Also, I don't see the point in bringing new life into an already overpopulated world with so many people that have no one to care for them....it is a long and hard and expensive process...but a white guy and a Korean lady in a rural area in the 1970s did it (my boyfriend's adoptive parents) and so can you...please think about this option carefully. It may take you four or five years to actually adopt. But imagine how much more of an impact you would make in the world then someone who just laid on her back...I would adore you. So would your children. Go talk to someone, make this one of your serious options to consider (I know there are others) But please read some information, talk to some people, give it five minutes of your time. You could create lives this way just as easily as you would if your egg took to a sperm.

Here's some tips... Have your spouse wear boxers, not briefs. Sperm is in greater concentration when the males testicles are kept about 1 degree lower than body temperature. Stay out of the hot tub!
I know this next tip sounds silly... but it will help... Use the missionary style for sex (man on top). Immediately after sex, do the bicycle in bed... you know, where you stick your hands behind your back and point your feet up in the air and pretend to pedel. Also, avoid urinating or draining your system after sex.

We tried everything for a year and the doctor said we just wasn't doing it at the right time. So we did it every night for 30 days and by the end of the thirty days I was pregnant!

I don't know if you believe in natural medicines, but I know a lady who tried for years to get pregnant and was unable to do so. Finally she decided to try natural herbs, things like that, and well she was able to get pregnant as they gave her a tea to drink. Is possible that it was simply a psychological belief and response, who knows but the case is that it worked.

The EffYew is correct. Every day three times a day for about three weeks ought to do the trick.
