If he's in my lap he likes to have his head hanging over and now if you're holding him, he'll throw his weight backwards so you turn him upside down. Is there a time limit to this and has anyone else experienced it? Do you think it's just the little head rush he gets? Thanks.

Lots of kids do that. For what ever reason they think it is fun I wouldn't worry about it. I would say though I won't let him be upside down for more that 10 -15 seconds.

My daughter has loved to be upside down since I can remember she is now 14 months and still loves it... she likes to throw herself backwards as well and its a little game we play so long as shes not being too rough with herself. allthough I am careful with how much and how long it happens... I do believe they get some sort of rush from it... just like someone would get a rush from goin on a rollercoaster pursay...

My youngest son (eight months) also loves to be upside down, even when he is drinking his bottle, it is weird but he loves it and does it on his own now. He will lay on the floor and arch his back so his head is upside down, he will push himself back when you are holding him so that he is upside down. But, yeah, like the previous poster said, I wouldn't do it for him for very long 10-15 seconds at a time.

We used to play a game with our little one called "drop the baby."

Start with the little one upright by your chest, then bend over at the waist while cradling the little one in your arms where it end up upside down.

They will giggle for hours until you have to sit down yourself.
