I am at a loss to what you call "Swing Dance". I play in a Duo over here in New Zealand and play for a lot of Dance Clubs, but have never heard of "Swing Dance". A Jive can be swing, you also get a Swing Waltz. More information would help, like the timing eg ... 4/4 or 6/8 Jive Rock 'n Roll etc. Have fun.

Is this like the CHARLESTON, or the JITTERBUG. That was in my mom's time (20's-40's). She taught me how. Charleston, your feet always pivot in opposite directions, not together. Jitterbug , you go around in circles hanging on to each other, so you can flip your partner, smoothly over your shoulder, and then go to a shake, shake, shake pattern as you keep going around circles. Also you slide your partner onto the floor, between your legs and yank back out to an upright position, and with hands in the air waving keep on shaking.
