Revenge is a crude and cruel method and it is not natural. It is often disproportionate, and is man made. That is why it brings with it remorse, when things cool down.

i dont think revenge has to do with necessarily hurting others. you could just end up very successful and feel good about it. like if someone was rude to you and then they see you 5 years later and youre doing great, that is a pretty good revenge. that is a productive revenge. however, if you hurt someone, that is a destructive revenge. hopefully, a person won't do that because thats not going to help. good luck on your essay.

Well, personally, it usually makes me happy but I make a point of coming to terms with whatever brought on my need for revenge. If you get payback, no matter how sweet, but don't deal with the situation that brought it on, then you can't be content because the problem/reason/incident is still there.

because it only makes the other person feel as badly as you did, and it makes you look like the bad guy as well...the way to really get someone back for what they did is walk away the better person that way it's a win win people notice your mature move and look down on the other person...also if you tell the person how much they have hurt you chances are it's just going to make them feel bad and if you do nothing back to them they have no reason to be mad at you...trust me thats revenge enough.

for a while revenge feels good but then we realize that we stooped to the level of the people we were seeking revenge on and we know what we did was wrong and our continence kicks in
you could probably BS that into a few good paragraphs

I think you should do a bit of research rather than accept a foregone conclusion. I'm thinking revenge might make lots of people happy.

Example
Lets say a guy kills your family and u go and kill that guy. You're still bitter because killing that guy didnt bring your family back from the dead. Lets say that after that incident with your family, "murderers" are what u hate the most. If u kill that guy you're becoming what u hate the most

It's because you are repaying a hurt with more hurt. Hurt + hurt does not equal anyone feeling better.

Cause afterward you realize it diminished you as person and won't replace what you lost.

Really I don't think that statement is true for everyone. I think your teacher is moralizing.
