Where to start... 15 goldfish in a 29 gallon tank is insanity. You should have two. Maybe 3. At the very most. This is why your tank smells so bad. Cat urine is made of ammonia. So is fish waste. Goldfish put out more waste than any other fish, which is why they need a minimum of 10 gallons of water per fish. Take back 12 of those fish. If you don't, they will die. I know this isn't what you want to hear, and you can choose to ignore it, but you will find out yourself soon enough. You need to learn about cycling water to get it safe for fish. How to test water so that you know it's ready for fish. How to properly change the water and clean the tank. What the correct filtration is. How to identify and treat diseases because with 15 fish, you are going to have plenty of disease. Please do some research on how to take care of your fish so they don't all die. Good luck to you!

ok not sure what your talking about when you say..15 in 29 gallon tank? do you mean 15 goldfish in 29 gallon? is so...your fish are prob doomed. this is way to much bio load for a 29 gallon..especialy when goldfish produce more bio load than other fish of similar size. your tank is prob heading for high ammonia levels which are deadly to fish.. if its not that many fish..still prob same answer if you didnt let your tank "cycle" before adding fish.. new water has no bacteria to break down deadly ammonia.. its takes a while for these bacteria to build up enough to handle the ammonia.. yes..helpful bacteria.. :)

gee-so man are you mad i have a 27 gallon tank keep tropical fish and don't stock as many fish as that bear in mind my fish are a LOT smaller than goldfish.
as previous answers to mine you need to research this subject in great depth before you decide to keep fish of any sort.
i have several years experience and still am afraid to take my hobby to the next level (marine fish) sort out your fish length to surface area level and you'll have a healthy tank and get to enjoy your fish more
