Yes. Look at it with a magnifying glass. The line on which the signature is written is really NOT a solid line at all. It is a continuous repetition of the letters SSA SSA SSA SSA for Social Security Administration.
I scanned mine at a real high resolution and then zoomed in. Pretty neat.

The Social Security Number Card is fake when it has no record in the site of the Social Security Office and in their records.

It is difficult to tell if the actual card if fake or not. As for the number on it, there's a number employers can call to match up the name with the number.
