Kids these have sailor mouths. They are swearing, and cussing like there was no tommorow. THey have little respect for elders. They have been so desensatived by the media. The bad words don't even have it's negative cognotations anymore.

Maybe because alot of them learn it from their parents and they also pick it up from their friends. When I was in my 20's and 30's I use to cuss like a sailor, because I was one tough cookie. Now days I hate to hear cuss words, it makes me cringe. Alot of these kids come from broken homes, and/or both parents work, and they are not being taught the way the older generation was taught. It is a whole different world from 20 to 30 years ago. I just pray that there are still good kids out there who will be the leaders of our country in the not to distant future and will be the honest and trustworthy leaders we need.

I agree. It's gotten out of hand. I feel that our culture in general is out of hand. There is very little respect for elders/authority, and morals seem to be hiding somewhere far away. It seems that only money/sex drive the world not love/philanthropy/empathy. We are all self-absorbed and unconcerned about the future we are laying out for the next generations. I think life is sad and depressing by the way because I can't block all the negativity out. I don't get a good feeling about life when I see all the crap that goes on. That's just me. I have to work extra hard to see the positive whereas it comes easier to others.

It'd probably help if adults didn't use profanity as often as they do. (Why do people always complain about the "youth of today" when the "adults of today" behave the same exact way? And why are the people who do the complaining so uneducated themselves? Spelling should be simple.)

What a hypocrite, you old fart. I'm sure kids in your generation were just as crappy and rebellious as the one in this generation. All generations share this common trait.

Sorry.
It's because it's the "cool" thing to do.
It's because they think it's fun.
It's because it's a form of self-expression.
It's because it emphasizes what they say
It's because they find it funny.
