I would like to do a TESL course then take my 10 year old with me. He is keen for the experience and I believe it would be great for him also. I can forsee child care issues just for a start but has someone else done it?

Where at overseas? I use to teach ESL in my spair time while stationed in Germany. There are lots of other factors involved. Will a company be sponsoring you? Are you just going on your own?

If you are thinking about teaching in China go see your Dr. and get antibiotics before the trip also everyone shares food over than and you will be too...you better make sure you have all your shots..Hep A, B,...if you dont you WILL aquire it there...everyone has either a, or b in china ilived there for over a year and i speak chinese...their gov is the cause of most of it...i saw several teacheers in china with kids...when you get a nany for your child you MUST teach her how to care for the child...the chinese arent educated like we are...for instance many wash dishes with the same rag they just washed the toilet with......if you are going to china just email me i will write you back....you will really need to be prepared
