I live in a small conservative community,, there is an ongoing rumor that my
friends wife is gay/bisexual. He denies this, but his wife
has a female friend whom she spends a lot of time, dressing alike, shopping, drinking at bars etc. The friend told several
people that his wife was gay. After hearing that she stopped
associating with the woman. This woman has
a reputation in town of being bisexual, yet my friend
denies that as well. Do you think that it is
unusual for a straight woman to be so closely
associated with a single gay female?

No, anything is possible. It could be several things. Maybe she really is gay/bisexual, or maybe people spend too much time being concerned about other peoples lives that they have nothing better to do than to make up lies. Whatever it is I don't think that it is weird for a straight lady to hang out with a gay/bisexual lady. If you go to a bigger city you'll probablly see it a lot more.

No, I don't think it is unusual. Perhaps the woman simply chooses her friends based on who they are inside, and not because of their sexual preferences.
Personally, I am straight, and I have numerous gay friends. Of course, I also have numerous straight friends.

OH YES! They don't know they are risking catching the lezzie virus. I did years ago and now I'm bi. Such will be the fate of that nice straight women if she hangs around the single lesbian.

Although I believe the "gay" lifestyle is wrong, if it isn't affecting you why does it matter? I am a male, I have one gay friend I hang with on occasion. Does that make me gay? I think not.

He is a human and a friend. As long as he doesn't hit on me, and he doesn't, what does it matter?

Its perfectly normal. Women are a lot more comfortable with sexuality than most men.
