Hi,
I have several short skirts that i would like to wear to school. My mom thinks they are too revealing, and we've compromised that i can wear them over those leggings that are stretchy and stop at mid calf. Are they starting to be "out"?

No they are still in. People who say they are out are saying that because leggings aren't making big news anymore. If you wear jeans people don't make a big think about the jeans because they are a part of our everyday wardrobe and it dosen't suprise anyone to see someone wearing jeans or to wear them yourself. Leggings have become part of our everyday wardrobe. And it dosen't make big news to see anyone wearing leggings. So go ahead and wear leggings they are in big time.

Yea, definately. I'd say they're just about gone already. I think the only way to do them now, and not look tacky, is to wear them under a shirt dress. The whole 'denim skirt/leggings' look is wack. And, of course not any dress, either.

i think a better bet for the fashion-conscious would be black tights under the skirts (not too flamboyant skirts, but sedate elegant ones), and they would look wonderful with a pair of classy boots or heels.
i dont see much in the way of leggings for the fashion-conscious, and in the cold weather, tights are a chic alternative to pants, especially for those who wear skirts or dresses.

I read in a recent magazine that they were out for this spring. I believe it was People magazine and Beyonce was on the cover, so you can check it out.
With that being said, I still think they are okay in some cases like with a tunic dress. I love Tyra Banks and she wore them like that recently on her show.

I`ve never liked tights being worn under skirts. No offense, but I kind of think they`re ugly.
But they are kinda cute if you wear tights & like a flowy dress that goes past or a little above your knee. :)

Leggings will be out soon. Since the new spring trend is in, it doesn't include leggings. Not much of the runway shows during fashion week 2007 showed any leggings.

Listen, leggings never went out. People just didn't notice them. I've always love leggings, so I noticed that they were never out.
leggings are good for girls. They help you keep your scruples(your honor). And they look good. on the right girl. If you need XL plus, don't go there.
