Find inner confidence. Don't allow yourself to be too concerned with what people think, that causes anxiety. Just relax and feel an inner sense of confidence. Love yourself and people will be drawn to that!

Wow, great question. I think a lot of your answer may depend on your social structure and the acceptable norms for you group. But on the whole, I would say - as long as you are genuinely concerned for other people, want to more about them. Accept people for who they are, and expect your friends to have high values - you will do well.

And it never hurts to be HOT!

find a place in between being conceited and self loathing love your self but don't act like your the best
be nice but not so nice that people get annoyed
be accepting to everyone some people will never like you simply because others do be yourself and accept other people for them selves and the right people will be attracted to you

The main thing is that you learn to like yourself.....then you'll get REAL friends that respect you for who you are, not just acquaintances.
