A very good friend of mine has just been "ripped" off by a "best friend" in a business transaction .... luckily, my friend's family was his best source of value of trust and communication - but, to cut a long story short, my friend was "conned" of a lot of money, which only he now admits to and is having a hard time in accepting this fact. My friend is a hard working person, truthful, honest almost to a fault, and loving. I have had the hardest time tonight in saying "bye" to this friend in his journey in life moving forward towards another province seeking his solitude and mental stability.
I love this friend so much, my heart aches to see him go, but I respect his moving forward in life...
How can I be a friend in saying "bye", without breaking down in front of them?

tell them it is sad for them to go, and they will always have a place in your home.

Just relax. This may have been a harsh learning experience, but it is still a valuable lesson. PEOPLE WANT TO DECEIVE YOU

MAYBE EVEN ME!
