I have a close family member in prison and it still shocks me as I never thought I would.
Just finding out I'm not the only one.

yes, my father for drug trafficking in the 80's...24 years mandatory sentence... what upsets me is that there are ppl out there killing and get less jail time!! he will be 70 years old when he gets out, 4 more years to go...

Yeah, my baby brother, 10 years, federal, minimum security -- For having a meth lab, etc. - 4 counts. He spent 25 grand on an attorney, signed over the family farm to his wife so that he had NO assets (avoiding a huge fine). She then has a torrid affair, falls IN LOVE with a man 15 years younger, out on parole from a state pen, and puts the whole farm up to a bales bondsman in another county and they go on the run when his trial date comes around. She loses the farm, and he divorced her (she was as culpable as he was in the meth lab business). They were caught, her boyfriend is back in prison for a long time now, his 18 year old daughter is having a baby next month and hardly writes to him . . .all I can say is Justin Timberlake's title song of Karma, "What goes around comes around" is true.

Yes - an Uncle - I am ashamed to say. I hope the SOB rots in there and I hope every idiot in there gives it to him you know where. You see, 23 yrs ago he was dishonorably discharged from the US Navy - for molesting a 3 month old. He should have been locked up then, but no, they just took away his pension and put him back out to recommit - well guess what - He is now back in a virginia state prison for several counts of child molestation. He is a sick sob - and I don't care who knows - the name is Thomas Whinnery - check the local sex offender registry - If he is ever released - watch your children, I know I will mine.

I used to work in a prison, and I have a family friend who is in prison, as well as many of my friends still work in a prison. I am going back to working in the prison system again.

yes a very good friend of ours don't get out till 2009 been in there now for 3yrs.

yes my bf's brother. He isn't guilty he is innocent. He is just wasting his life in there for no reason. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I still haven't met him but I will soon.
