He won't be traded, currently the Timberwolves are in the play off hunt and even if they trade him and miss the playoffs they don't have a first round pick. Owner Glen Taylor has publicly said he does not and will not trade KG. The only hope for the Wolves is that KG stays and that the team can trade some of their bad contracts away (Jaric, James, Hudson, etc.) to get some cap room and develop around the Big Ticket and their budding stars (Foye, McCants, Smith).

I had the same question. Okay here's what's going down with KG right now. Of course the deadline is on thursday and there definitely is not going to be a trade before then. So KG's sticking with the Twolves this season. But the offseason is where the drama is going to pick up. The rumor is that KG is going to opt out of his contract which will pay him $22 million! From there he could possibly join a championship contender, I hope he goes to team up with the Lakers and Kobe. That would be sick!!!! However this is all speculation and rumor. But Garnett is hungry for a title and there's a big possibility he'll join another team next season. As for this season, he's remaining with the Twolves.

KG won't ask to be traded. He is very loyal to the wolves. But I have to agree with the thoughts of Charles Barkley - Kevin McHale should trade him (set him free) to be with a better team. He is owed that as they have done a lousy job putting good players around him throughout the years.

Doesn't look like he is gonna get traded. The team announced that the only way that would happen is if he asked to be traded, and he doesn't wanna be right now I guess.
