A serious argument could be made for Roger Federer...The man kicks it in to high gear in matches that mean the most...ie. the grand slams...

I would've said Sampras or maybe even Borg (he retired too early), but in my mind, Federer is the best tennis player of all time.
He's simply flawless and is just a monster on the court. Mark my words, he will break every record that has been set before he's through. He's only 25 years old and already owns a good chunk of them.
Amazing player.
Best female, imo, is Steffi Graf. Martina is great with records, but Steffi was the better player.

The best tennis player of all time will be Roger Federer - there are no doubts - we can already see the future!
Changing the tense (as we already know the future):
Roger Federer is the best tennis player of all time

For women, Martina Navratilova was the best all-time. For men, it's a toss-up between Pete Sampras (holder of 14 majors) and Roger Federer (the guy who will surpass him)

I would say Roger Federer. I wouldn't be surprised if he surpassed Pete Sampras. As for the women, I might say Martina Navratilova, but I'm not as familiar with the women players.

It will be Roger federer if he continues this rally of wins. He must continue to impress everyone with his strategies and power to prove himself a world champion in tennis. If he does not do so, maybe Andy murray or Rafael nadal can take over his place as world champion in tennis.

Roger Federer. I believe he has surpassed Pete Sampras. the 14 grand slams Pete won, was achieved in a period of 20 years if I'm not wrong. Roger's 10 grand slams were won in a matter of 3.5years. that's gotta say something. that and his awesome arsenal of shots, of which he executes almost every single one of them with perfection. and his all-court game - you can never really pin him down to a single style such as baseliner or serve-and-vollyer..

Pete Sampras but he'll most likely be replaced by Roger Federer soon as long as he doesn't get injured.
