Cases like terry Shiavo and assisted suicide.

I specifically want to know how euthanasia can be justified as either moral or immoral. I DO NOT want to know if it is right or wrong :)

Oh, Lord, I know way too much about Terri Schiavo. She actually died around my house. Anyway, you can say that euthanasia can be moral if it's physician-assisted and the person is terminally ill.

Ethics tell us that it is wrong to kill another human being. But if you specifically define what a human being is, you determine the morality of euthenasia.

You can define a human being in one of two ways:
1) the consciousness inside the brain
2) the brain itself

My sister did a school assignment on this subject and she says that the only thing she could really find against it was that the church was against it. But she believes that to watch your loved one die in agony is cruel and she would rather end they're suffering. Well I hope that helps!

it can be moral because its a waste of money to keep some vegetable alive when we, as a society, can not benefit from their hospitalization.
