Did you see the latest news that Mr. Weisel was attacked by a neo-Nazi? Today's paper (2/20).
I hope they throw the book at the guy.

Mr. Wiesel was the only reminder the Baby Boomers had of what had gone before them. He became famous as a Nazi hunter and was quite successful.

He spoke frequently and eloquently about the Holocaust before it even had a name. He reminded us that this must never be allowed to happen again. He was the unwanted thorn in the side of the WWII generation who wanted only to forget, and a persistent gadfly. Thank goodness.

Because of him, we know more of the atrocities and horrors. We now know much, much more of the daily lives and burdens of Jews and Gentiles alike during that awful time. And he stood up for a race of people who had no voice.
