They don't need glasses. They wear them because it makes them look smart.

That is a stereotype, and it is not actually true. Sure, some smart kids do wear thick glasses. But the correlation between poor eyesight and intelligence is not validated by any reliable experiment.

1. Lightly speaking - they use their eyes so much, for wear and tear it looses its workability. They needs glasses.
2. Practically speaking - its not the fact that smart kids wear thick glasses. Its only they look smarter with thick glasses. 80% of smart kids are without any glass.

That's really more of a stereotype. I've known plenty of extremely intelligent people who don't even wear glasses

maybe because they are so interested in reading books at night with poor lighting that their pupils are not working well, so they need glasses! I wear! and u don't have to be smart to wear em or dum for that matter!(haha)
