i used to work at forever 21 and it was horrible, they kept me there till 3am one night, i dint think i got over time for it, as if that wasn't bad enough i had to follow every customer around saying " Hi, how are you? need help?" the manager thought it would please them but they seem more annoyed since every worker keep repeating the same line. it was awful!! the customer would have 6 to 10 different girls coming up to them with that line.

I do not care about working at retail stores because there are assholes and I rather do graphic design and dance than waste my time with slave jobs.

Hey I worked at Kmart for 1.5 years & I loved it up until 2 of my work colleagues left. After that i hated it becuase the people they hired were just not the same. The actual work load was easy & because i got to change around the tasks i had to do, it made it more interesting. It really depends on the people you work with if you like your job or not. I worked in a t/away shop & hated it because the people there were mean & soooo uptight! Thats my say!!!! ;)

I worked for Mall-Wart (lol) for a couple of years. It wasn't that bad--$9.80/hr and cheap insurance--just a couple of people I worked with who really got on my nerves. There was one mother and daughter I worked with--their husband/father had died at another store in an electrical accident many years ago--and they acted like they should have everything handed to them. I realise that it was a terrible loss, but they chose not to sue so they could keep their jobs, and after that many years (12, I think) I think it's time to judge them on their performance, not their willingness to report up the corporate ladder. Another woman I worked with kept calling this manager (of middle eastern descent) a sand ni**er whenever he wasn't around. I have no tolerance for that sort of thing. The customers weren't bad, though, and neither was the job (just boring). Oh, but I hate the view others had of us third-shifters--that since we only worked with an asst. mgr. and not the dept. or store mgrs. that we were incapable of having the skills to advance.

I once worked part time in a fast food restaurant. I knew I wouldn't work there forever and would move on to better things. I didn't like working for the incompetent manager.

I worked for Subway for six months. I hated it from day one. The smells and the dirty uniforms and the worst of all...people paying $8-10 for a sandwich which actually costs $1.89. Cheaters!

I worked at Sam's Club. My only complaint was that I was never given breaks when I needed them. 6 hours on the register with those lines and no break is too long.

No I didn't hate my job at K-Mart. It was sweet as hell. I went in @6am and was usually out of there at 10am. I worked in the cash office and I hated to leave, but personal things sometimes interfere with your job...oh well!!! By the way, I started out as a cashier.
