Life in prison is no where near harsh enough, so what should we do with people who harm children?

Well I am a Texan,and you know Texas has really tough laws but I think we ought to hang um

If we bring ourselves to torture and other ways of dealing with these scums, we are no better than they are. All we can do is keep them away from children. And the only way possible is by life in prison. Concentrate on helping the kid(s) as opposed to finding new and exciting ways to punish the monster. Always try and remember, no matter how terrible a person is, he or she is still a person. Someone somewhere loves them. I can't imaging why but it's true. You're talking about torturing someones son or daughter for torturing someone elses son or daughter. We have to remember that an eye for an eye doesn't cut it.

I would get an island that they all would be put on with no way of leaving . Let them do survivial of the fittest ( which would eliminate most of them). The only one's I would leave in question would be the one were say for example:A 19 year old dates a 16 year old the parents or police have them charged do to the laws on age of consent. But anyone over the age of 21 or someone under 21 who goes for a child beyond a dating situation it's off to the island.

Put him in general population at a maximum security prison, tell the inmates what he did, and let THEM deal out the punishment. If he dies, or is maimed, so what? Even criminals don't like child molesters, let them do what they want with him.

If they molest and not murder the child then they should be castrated and have to wear a permanent type monitor thingy-like an ankle radio transmitter and if they murder the child they should be murdered RIGHT AWAY not 6 months or 1 yr. down the road- right after they are found to be guilty!!

If the punishment is death, then they may just kill their victim anyway, because either way, they are going to get the death penalty. They should have to wear something like a scarlet letter for the rest of their life.
