i can throw pretty good. and catch too. when i was at school playing around people were calling me peyton manning.(it was raining though and the ball slipped so they stopped.) but still i think i only need to learn how to throw farther. i can catch pretty good too. i only need 1 or 2 warmup passes to start getting in to it. so i just need to catch better and throw better. will gloves help?

I like your heart; but you'll be better served choosing one or the other.
A quarterback can always be a mediocre receiver...
but a receiver doesn't make a good quarterback.

when I look at your size stats I'm suprised you even want to play either position - you seem pretty small.

what about playing cornerback with that speed....
or even better - Safety.

Good luck with your choice, the ultimate fate lies in the hands of your coach...
improving those skills comes with repetitive practice.
You can pick up the techniques in any book...and then just do it over and over again.

Hate to give you the bad news but, if you have small hands you'll never be able to grasp a football properly to be able to get the distance, accuracy and perfect spiral you need to be a good QB.
Plus, you'll be prone to fumbling the football.

Now, a wide-receiver...that's different..if you have "sticky" hands and can hold on to throws, you have a better chance.
Problem there is, you need to have the legs and great speed to make it downfield in front of the defenders.

Ok, that being said...forget about my comments and just try out and do the best you can...who knows...there is a special talent hidden in all of us...you only need to discover it and work hard to perfect it.
Good luck!

Play catch. Get tougher too, because high school is a different story from middle school touch football.

look at the ball when its coming to you!
and don't always reach out to the ball!
but let the ball come to you and into your stomach!
with your hands around your stomach!
that should help! cuz it helped me!
and when you throw be sure to have SOME fingers on the grips!
how ever way that makes you comfertable!
so yah!
and totally! keep PRACTICING!!
like allot! and every where!!
