I like it for a middle name more so than for a first name. Not sure, but I'm guessing it's a boy's name. That's what it sounds like to me. :)
There are quite a few first names you could put with it. A few would be...
Brian McKinley
Chase McKinley
Austin McKinley
Conner McKinley
Michael McKinley
Nate McKinley
Oliver McKinley
Ryan McKinley
Kevin McKinley
Kylan McKinley
Tanner McKinley
Hunter McKinley
Joel McKinley

I knew a guy that had that name as a last name.
I don't really like it as a first or middle name. I hope you don't mind but just giving my opinion.
I prefer biblical names like
Daniel
Joseph
Abraham(Abe for short)
Isaac
Jonah
Isaiah
Timothy
Jonathan
Stephan
Benjamin
Samuel
Joel
Andrew
Matthew
Thomas
Paul
They sound so strong w/ meaningful meanings behind them. Remember your little boy will grow up to be a man one day & a good strong name is take more seriously in work forces etc..
than a cutsie name.
Just food for thought!

There's a mall in New York State named the McKinley Mall, so that's what I think of when I hear it.

I think it would be nice as a middle name, but I don't love it for a first name. It sounds masculine to me, but mainly because the president William McKinley.
What do you think of thie nickname Mick or Mickey?

I wouldn't give my kid a name like that. My name's Erez, and it was good back when I lived in Israel, but since I moved to the US it's been torture. Whenever someone asks my name I have to give it like 3 times before they get it, and sometimes I have to spell it out for them too. Trust me, your kid would be way happier with a more common name.
