Lets say that you meet a woman and she had a female name etc and looked really nice and presentable, but then after a while they said, "sorry but I am awaiting to have an operation to make me a woman," Would you feel like you were lied to?

As long as she's still sexy and has a great personality, I wouldn't care.

There really isn't a rulebook for when to come out as trans. People do it based on how close they are to another person, how open they are, what point the relationship is at, etc. Some people will say on the first date. Others might wait to see if the relationship has a chance to go anywhere first. Others may avoid telling the other person until they absolutely have to for fear of rejection. Unfortunately there is a lot of intolerance in the lesbian community towards MtF trans lesbians.

No. I'm a lesbian however, my sexuality is based on both my attraction and attachment to women. A vagina does NOT a woman make. I love women in the emotional and spiritual sense just as much as the physical. A MTF is a woman in the ways that matters most. The body is just a shell and if I had a real connection with the MTF it wouldn't matter to me if they were pre op or post op.

I would feel honored to be befriended by them and that they have confidence in me as a human being to respect them and cherish who they are. I would never look down or treat pre-ops or post-ops any differently. I believe in human equality. :)

peace and bright blessings!

It tends to varry with each person. Some might feel like they were lied to and others may not. Some people might not want to keep talking to that person and others might want to still be friends with that person.

Well, it's not like you could really say you were "lied" to. Not unless you asked, "Were you born a woman?" and they said yes.

It's your own damn fault for not asking the right question!
