>> prices seem decent as also credentials

go over to them, ask them to put in a 256 mb dedicated graphics card & tell them your application in detail, they should tell u best possibilities
post their suggestions & then we can work out
also, ask them to change os from win xp home to win xp media centre 2005 with sp2
... all this on the Model D0205

think they should work it out for you & at a much cheaper solution than lenovo or others

Well if you get a windows machine get a Dell they are the best. Right on the site you can choose a desktop. And everything is layed out for people who dont know what they are looking at. Just choose the one that they say is ment for music. And for the guitar you would need to get special cords and softwear for it. Since i have never done that myself i would probably not be much help. But i would check in guitar or music stores or maybe somewhere like radioshack for an adapter or cable to connect it. Some softwear might come with it, if not you can probably find something online. Hope this helps

The best type of computer for editing you would want to by a mac and from there buy some adapters for you guitar to plug into your computer. If you want a desktop you will most likely have to buy special editing software, along with the adapters and for the storage you will want lost of hard drive space.

And the sound card I specified WITH the breakout box is a must, since you will be able to connect your guitar or piano.

Mass amounts of hardrive space 500 Gig and the instruments I have no idea at all. But the hard drive is a plus for your storage needs.
