The windows 98 computer does not read USB chips and the Vista computer has no floppy drive. Can you help?

I've got an USB optical device I don't know if its the same but I transfered some messages from Windows 2000 to the xp with-out any trouble so what I may suggest is to use a CD-RW to transfer those at least you'll be able to reuse the disc, it might not be as fast as an optical device but you should get the same results

If you have an email connection you can send yourself an email from the Win 98 and attach your message files. Then get that email using the new computer. It may take multiple sends depending on how many messages you have.
