There's plenty. But for me Rise of Nations and Age Of Mythology was the best.

StarCraft with Brood Wars. It's been almost 10 years, and it's still as popular as ever. When was the last time you went to a store where a game from 10 years ago is still on the shelf? Most PC games are off the shelf in 1 year, but SC is still around after almost a decade.

Although I agree that SC and BW is fun, I think the Ogre Battle series was great. Tactics Ogre is my all time favorite RPG/RTS game. Look into it. Very rare and very expensive but well worth it.
