Just wash once and condition. The only time I have to wash my hair twice is after a day at the beach to get all the sand out. Even though the bottle says to wash and repeat it is not good for your hair and strips it of all its natural oils and will leave it dry and brittle over time if it is washed too much. I am sure that they tell you to repeat so you can run out of shampoo faster and have to buy a new bottle.

the "repeat" was added to shampoo bottles as a marketing technique. it's an amazing idea if you think about it... the company gets you to use your shampoo twice as fast so then you have to buy twice as much shampoo.
to have very healthy hair we shouldn't be washing it everyday, but of course that's just disgusting, so just rinse it once to keep *some* of those healthy natural oils in the hair shaft to keep it silky and moisturized.
