I know what your after. My uncle works for Fed Ex. He has too many years in to leave because he's close to retirement. He says he has found out that working for UPS would have been much better but he didn't consider that when he was younger. Fed Ex takes a lot of very large heavy packages that UPS wont take. This takes a toll on your body (back, legs, muscle aches) as the years progress. They only send one guy out with some things like treadmills and stuff, where there should be two people to lift that kind of weight. He says UPS doesn't do that. You are only supposed to deliver to the door, but it never fails that it's some elderly person or young girl and then he ends up taking stuff inside. He has hurt his back a number of times. My general take on his attitude is that Fed Ex doesn't really care too much about their employees. He had to find someone else to cover for him when my Dad (his brother) was dying. He couldn't just leave his route and come to the hospital. He didn't end up getting to be there when dad died. I thought that was really horrible of the company. I can't say if UPS would do the same or not, but I thought it was pretty crappy of Fed Ex.

Then what do you mean?..that is why anyone who works looks for...as far as operations, they are very similar and I would give the edge to UPS

the UPS here in Raleigh is always always hiring.. so maybe FedEx is better. There's something to be said about a place that is always hiring. Or maybe UPS just has better advertising skills...
