They were great cars. I had a mk2 Cortina 1600E in Aubergine. fast, comfy and very easy to 'customise' and work on.

They did a version by lotus which was mostly white in colour as i recall, with a green stripe down the side. Worth a fortune now probably.

I also believe they did a 3ltr V6 version called a Ford Savage. Was never sure whether this was fact or myth though.

Mine was great did 120000 miles til the body work fell off. Mark 5 with Weber twin choke carbs, exhaust off a mark 3 GT. Would have another tomorrow if I could find a good one.

oh my god...my grandpa has this car and i just love it....I'm from Greece and i haven't seen anyone else still driving a cortina...i love it

They where alright in there day cheap & cheerful, had a1500cc many yrs ago.

they were great , until they rusted out , Canadian winters weed out the weak pretty quick
