As a teenager I wanted to write a book presenting a realistic philosophy that would enrich people's lives, their experience, and living together, without religion or gods. By the time I felt I knew sufficient answers (in my early 50's) I decided most people didn't want to know, and environmental issues were too urgent (although there is a vital connection). Later I would have settled for writing books that satirised human folly, lovingly, wrote a couple but couldn't get them published despite previous publication and high praise from a couple of prominent publishers. So I settled for what I have, and it's enough - very early retirement to do what I can for society, a loving family, some glorious grandchildren, a secure roof and income, and a loving companion who makes my cancer and other frailties bearable enough - especially as nobody is shooting at us. Yet. Good luck. The simplest things are the most important; and for most people, the most difficult to achieve.

I want to be able to swim
In the middle of a hot summer it looks so enjoyable when people jump into the cool water
But, I am afraid of drowning and getting water up my nose and swallowing polluted water.....
guess I will just have to just splash in the bathtub

IF I had the money I would have a swimming pool built and hire a swim instructor

Before I die, I want to, have to, need to find my true love. My true love is the key to my salvation, my happiness and my legacy. I am not whole without my soul mate. I am just a half, not a whole. I can never become whole without finding that special person for me. I want to find the person who will love me for who I am, not what for what I do or what I have. So if asked if I'd rather be a rich man with no true love or in poverty with my soul mate, i'd choose poverty every time.
