It's probably implantation bleeding. When the plancenta is digging into the lining of the uterus. It's nothing to be concerned about, but talk with your doctor, if your concerned.

I'm also 5 weeks pregnant.I had blood during intercourse last week and I went to my doctors and she gave me an ultrasound to make sure everything would be ok. Today I had my ultrasound and they really couldn't find anything. So now I have to go back next tuesday for another ultrasound. They couldn't find any heart beat or anything. So I would just go to the doctors and maybe they can give you an ultrasound. Or even get blood work done and they can detect if you are miscarrying or not by your blood levels. My first blood test was at 800 and then 2 days later it shot up to 1900. So they said that is a good sign of the baby still developing. Also bleeding in early pregnancy is completly normal. Good luck hun!

The same thing happened to me at 6 weeks. My doctor assured me that it is normal if it is dark brown and minimal...it is your body getting rid of old blood. If you think about it, 6 weeks pregnant means about 4 weeks since your last period, when you should be getting another one if you were not pregnant....he explained it to me in those terms and then I heard the hearbeat and saw the little one and all was good. If you are worried, just call your dr!

I would call your doctor. Sometimes miscarriages are not painful. Even if it is a small amount of blood it could be the start of one, or it could be nothing. Please call your doctors office, or check in to the ER. It is always better safe than sorry. I hope it is nothing but it never hurts to play it safe.

im not a doctor nor a nurse. I would suggest though for you to go to the doctor asap. If you can call your local clinic or hospital right now please do so. So that you can get a consulation. Though its still normal to have spots when youre pregnant. But the best way is to discuss it with a medical professional. Good luck and congratulations with the pregnancy.

It could be nothing. Having light bleeding during pregnancy happens sometimes. It's when the color turns red that you have to be concerned. That means that you could be in the process of miscarrying. Be sure to mention it to your doctor. I wish you and your baby the best of luck.

Brown is usually old blood...
Its not 'normal' but its not uncommon for woman to have brown spotting and go on to have a healthy and happy 9 months.
I would definitely call your doctor to see if they could push up your appointment. :)
Goodluck

You should tell your doctor immediatly and let him know whats going on. That might be a sign to tell your body is being rejected of something or just a pregancy virus for you. I really don't know!

Don't worry about it. It's probably just old blood from implantation bleeding.
