My family moved when I was 18 months old to a new town. I remember and can describe in some detail one feature of the house we lived in before we moved. I remember the gravity heat vent that went from one of the upstairs bedroom down into the kitchen. I was just simply facinated that I could look down through it and yell at my mom in the kitchen.

4 years old. Sunny day, summer. late july
i'm outside running around with my sister in my driveway.
i was wearing a blue power rangers shirt and some khaki shorts.
my sister? i forget.
i tripped and fell
my grandmother came out side and yelled at my sister
the reason? we may never find out.
Thats good memory right?
i remember my clothes, tiem of the month, which month too.

being held in my grandfather's restaurant, which he sold before i was two years old.
my father didn't believe me that i remembered it, but i started describing the room to him--only very vaguely, of course... but i was able to describe the colors of the walls, etc.
