Almost black suit. Nothing more. Nothing too textured, save that for the class reunion. I don't think nacy is a good idea either. Keep it looking sharp. ***If you plan on not wearing a suit, wear a crisp white dress shirt. Very classy and proffesional.
Burgundy tie (pattern is best, like burgundy tie with black stripes). A little shine couldn't hurt. No over the top embroidery. And I really mean this, never wear a gold tie to an interview. Just don't. At least make sure the gold is subtle, like gold diemonds or stripes.
Almost black pants. Nothing more. Nothing to, over done. Must match with suit if you wear one. Nice and clean.
And polished black dress shoes to top it off. (Guy shoes.)
***I really do not reconmend khakis, too casual for an interview. Save the khakis for when he get's the job.
A clean shave, and well groomed hair. (Don't make it look like you tried too hard.) I really mean just simply comb your hair.
And remember, give a good handshake, look them straight in the eye (not too much though, don't want to make it creepy), and good luck!

A white dress shirt would be appropriate. For the tie, choose something subdued, professional and colour-coordinated. A good idea is for your friend to visit the company prior to the scheduled interview and just hang out in the parking lot around the end of the day, if possible. This way, your friend can scope what current company staff are wearing and dress accordingly.

Most likely a White button up and a black tie would be the best appropriate attire! Or unless he wants to add a jacket over it in black without the tie would be good as well.

i think he should wear a white shirt, with any color tie (red signifies confidence). also, if he really wants to impress he should wear a blazer. if he's wearing khakis then he should probably go with navy blue.
