someone told me pre-natal vitamins make your hair grow faster...is this true? Also, are there any side effects of taking these?? thank you everyone

For the first few months, maybe 1-3 months that I took them my hair and (nails especially) grew really long. And then a while down the line it just diminished. I think my body must have gotten used to it and just stopped, but the important thing is that they are nourishing my son. I have not had any side effects. I just would definately recommend that you take them with lots of water, milk, or juice during and after taking the pill. Also, don't take them with iron pills (if you are pregnant and iron deficient), they'll give your stomach a run for its money thats for sure. I recommend CVS or Sam's brand because they work better than prescription and cost so much less.

my son is 16 months and I still take prenatal vitamins, they do make your hair grow fast. I was in GNC the other day and the lady there told me that in the winter your hair grows slower and in the spring when everything around is blooming that your hair will grow much faster then too. Weird I know but I am trying to grow my hair so I'm hoping she was right. My sister uses that "Mane" shampoo for horses and she thinks that works. There is no effects of taking the prenatal vitamin its just a multi vitamine..

I take pre-natal vitamins and my hair and nails grow soo fast. It's crazy. I just got my hair cut last month and I already need it cut BADLY. I have to cut my nails almost everyday lol. They are great to take though, they're healthy and there are no side effects. Some women get sick off of them, if they don't eat while taking them, but everyone is different. They have never made me sick. :)

I've been taking Stuart Pre-natal Vitamin for almost 6 months now and have not had any side affects accept really yellow urine when I first go to the bathroom after initially taking it.

Yes, vitamins can improve your hair and nails. Look for something high in Folic acid, your baby's brain and nervous system need this nutrient.

Prenatals can make your hair grow faster, also your nails...it's just because vitamins do that

i've heard that but it never made my hair grow fast.Its just like say milk helps you grow I guess
