Not all anime dubbing is bad. The Fullmetal Alchemist dubbing was done very well. A few are bad, and Naruto is one of the better ones. Some of them are cruddy, just look at 4KIDS did to One Piece. Digimon Frontier was done very well too. Chobits and Alien 9.
Just because one anime dubbing is wrong in your ears, doesn't mean all are. People only freak out because they are pissed beause of the missing openings and endings, and because the 'Japanese Version is ALWAYS better!!!1'

heres the thing, both naruto and one piece are really popular animes in japan, however their voice actors are really good, naruto is kind of whiney but other then that his voice is well suited, in america they kind of portray him as really stupid, and the fact that he always says '' believe it!'' which is also really annoying. i find it annoying do to the fact that they draw out eahchothers names, for instance saying the name uchiha, compared to say, how ichigo pronounces kairi's name in bleach. other then that and the editing, i really don't have a problem with it. but your right onepiece in america really sucks with the voice acting,thats probably why 4kids is cancelling it. the voices of ussop and definetly sanji are completely and utterly annoying, also i hate how they change peoples names, i could go on but i'm sure you get the point.

FMA was dubbed by Funimation(same folks that did DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho), and Funimation usually does a pretty good job of dubbing anime. Viz Media dubbed Naruto, and for the most part screwed up the voices, i.e. the voices they gave the characters don't match the character themselves. Also with dubbing comes some censorship of original material, especially if something hits Cartoon Network's Toonami. They have to tone down all the good stuff to make it suitable for American youngsters. That would be my problem with most american dubs.

i whach naruto dub and i own naruto in japanses and i like the japanses better just because when the dub what they are saying they change it to fit in to what they believe should be put on TV or to make it sound better they think. Naruto isnt that bad compered to other series like evangelion where the girls voice r just bad picks and in yu yu hakusho in the saga that they save the ice demon the three power demons that they fight in the US there are 2 guys and one girl that girls says that she wins because she a girl and guys dont want to fight her and yusuke just grabs her tit and agress that she is a chick when in the real one that chick is a guy that is cross dressing and there are some meny other things they cut out or change when they dub anime and what is why people dont like it

I don't mind it apart from the "Believe it!" crap. But I prefer the manga to the anime anyway.
And I hate the weeabos who will argue that the Japanese version is better no matter what.
