breast implants?

Question

my mom is having breast implants, and she is telling me that she is having them becasue of medical reasons. i am very upset about this becasue my parents raised my sister and i to be happy with what we have and to admire natural beauty. part of me feels like she is not being honest with me about why she is having to have it done. it is tearing my heart up. is there any medical reason that would cause her to have to get breast implants?

as far as i know there is no medical reason for breast implants....sounds to me like your mom might be going thru a crisis of some kind....like she hates the way she looks?????

i went thru the same thing in my 30''s and 40's....i had implants for 9 years and then had them removed because i thought they looked stupid.....i had enough of my own breast tissue and did not need those implants...so i took them out.
i felt like i was a walking freak show...but that's just me........not every one goes thru something like i did.

maybe she is very saggy from breast feeding. Breast implants are not good for you and can cause many problems. Also, an older woman who nursed and has socks in rocks as breasts can have very low self esteem and implants can be a good thing....... I would not do it, but i don't have saggy breast fed breasts and I have a cousin who had implants and now they leak and she won't have them taken out and she is getting all kinds of immune diseases such as lupus and lung fibrosis and aauto immune disorders. I say live with what G-d gave you and be thankful..... but if she is married and her hubby hates her breasts and or she is single and thinks that is why she is not finding someone..... all you can do is love and support her wishes....... it is not really a big thing anymore.

She could have one breast smaller than the other or her medical reason may simply be that she is upset because of having small breasts and wants to do it to make herself feel better. She may not feel comfortable telling you that she just really wants them done. You should just come straight out and ask her, and try to be supportive because I think it would be very traumatic to have small breasts.

I praise your mum for having them done if it is going to help how she feels about herself.

Who knows?
No one wants a fake and sometimes they want there children to be better then they are when growing up. Thats a good thing she is teaching you & your sister, but sometimes parents dont even tell their children whats wrong with them like they to keep it with themselves or someone older and they keep holding until ready to say it theyre late at it but they want you to be a better person. Maybe she just has low self esteem about her body and wants to make her feel better but doesnt want you to feel the same way.
Ask her straight in the eye and see if shes lying when she looks to the left lol i like doing that its kindof true though.
